Iron Man Suit

This amazing gadget name Iron Man suit, with its dent-proof exterior, motorized faceplate and spinning mock Gatling gun, LEDs in the eyes...
How It Works
Time: 1 Month
Cost: $4,000+

WEAPONRY
Le built a replica of the machine gun on the suit’s shoulder out of PVC pipes and other materials. He added a small motor and belt drive to make the cylindrical gun spin like the real thing. To activate it, he presses a button in the palm of the suit’s glove. He says the gun could also be converted into a paintball shooter.

POWER
Le built an LED-based replica of Iron Man alter ego Tony Stark’s arc reactor for the chest, but unlike the movie version, it doesn’t actually power the suit. Instead, all the LEDs and the motors that drive the gun and the faceplate have their own batteries hidden within the suit’s large frame.

CONTROLS
Inside the chestplate, Le added a hands-free button that activates the helmet. When the faceplate is open, he just stands up and points his arm forward, causing his chest to press against the button, triggering the servo motors in the helmet to close the mask. This, in turn, switches on the red LEDs set inside the eye openings, which are large enough for him to also see out of. To open the mask up again, he presses another button.

BACKUP
Le says he focused on the War Machine suit, donned by Stark’s buddy Jim Rhodes in Iron Man 2, in part because “it just looks more hardcore.” But he also built a new-and-improved replica of the suit that Iron Man himself wears in the film, the Mark VI. That version also has the LEDs and motorized faceplate but, alas, no cannon.

Green Cri electric acrobatic airplane

There is nothing quite like the feeling of flying really high, overlooking the vast lands below while being closer to heaven than most. Well, the Green Cri is one such personal aircraft, being an electric acrobatic airplane that was the star of the recent Paris Green Air Show. This is an experimental aerobatic electric aircraft which actually hasn’t spent a single second in the air, although in theory it ought to be able to duke it out with the rest of the migratory geese and other feathered friends. Featuring a quartet of engines, gorgeous smooth lines and intriguing bubble pilot enclosure, the Green Air comes in a form factor that will definitely appeal to just about anybody and everyone. What’s all the fuss about the Green Cri anyway? Well, head on after the jump for more information.

White unlocked 32GB iPhone 4 covered with diamonds, yours for ,000

How many people would prefer white iPhone 4 to a black one? This is a genuine gadget geek’s question and we should have probably organized a poll for that matter, but this is not the case. Whatever the answer would have been, at least some of you are actually holding out for a white iPhone to come out. And it is a pity that you have to. But thanks to Stuart Hughes, who decided you should have none of that, you can buy a white unlocked 32GB iPhone 4 today for just $20,000. Has he covered it with diamonds? – You are probably asking. Well guess what, yes he has. Another good question though is if diamonds somehow address reception issues stock iPhones have? I’m not sure if this is relevant, but since we are talking smartphones here it probably is. Unfortunately we are not concerned about diamond edition iPhone 4 users having any complains so far, so if you want to make sure you will have to buy it and find out for yourself.

Wet Circuits waterproof power strip

Can't say we're any keener on the idea of blasting our outlets with Super Soakers, but Wet Circuit's water resistant power strips boast its ability to withstand just such a defiant action -- occasional rain and snow, wet hands, temporary flooding, and accidental water spills (assuredly intentional, too). $35 is the asking price, and while the company claims you can put metallic objects in the socket without fear of electrocution, you probably shouldn't press your luck. Check out a plethora of demonstrations after the break -- no really, we beseech you. Crank the speakers for this one.
